Six Gifts for Weavers

We would like to wish all weavers, would-be-weavers, and friends of weavers the happiest of holidays—whether you celebrate one, none, or all of the winter holidays. From Hanukkah to Solstice to Christmas and even Pan American Aviation Day (December 17 if you must know) we hope your holidays are filled with joy and happiness and that you have the happiest of New Years.

In the spirit of the holidays we’d like to offer up a few gifts. No, we’re not giving you warm and wooly socks or a brand new steam iron. Instead we’re giving you something you really want (even if you don’t know it yet), that you’ll be able to use right away, and that won’t take up a bit of space in your home. Below are 6 gifts we would like to give you to ensure your holidays are stress-free and cheerful, and that 2018 is full to the brim with wonderful weaving.

There you have it! 6 weaving gifts we hope you love. We hope that in 2018 you take them to heart and weave what you love, finish it however you like, and not worry about the details (unless focusing on the details is something you enjoy). Weaving should be fun and is a gift in and of itself. Enjoy the things you enjoy and don’t feel guilty about not following “the rules.” Whatever you do end up weaving in this new year, we know it will be wonderful.

Happy Holidays (and Happy Weaving),
Christina Garton and Susan E. Horton

What a joy to open these gifts! Thank you for helping me “own” my stuff and recognize that I’m not alone!

Thank you! Giving ourselves ‘permission’ to enjoy what we do, and how we do it, is that best present we can ever give to ourselves.
