Another idea that intrigues me (especially with a long warp) is a comment made by Donna Sullivan in her book on Overshot which suggests that a new approach to designing would be to apply the tie-up and treadling of different overshot patterns to the threading for one pattern already on the loom.  So, with my Sun, Moon and Stars threaded on my loom, and many feet to go, I decided to weave a sample towel treadling according to the Whig Rose instructions.
