Children battling cancer could use some empowerment and joy in their lives. That's exactly what The Magic Yarn Project aims to provide–by offering handcrafted Disney princess wigs to kids diagnosed with cancer.

The Magic Yarn Project was established by former oncology nurse Holly Christensen. After her friend's young daughter was diagnosed with lymphoma last year, the Alaska resident decided to go beyond knitting an ordinary hat for the three-year-old and create a super-soft Rapunzel wig to "help bring a little magic and fun to a difficult time in her life."
