Go Pink for October

According to statistics by the National Cancer Society 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1,000 men will develop invasive breast cancer in their lifetime. Of course, those with breast cancer are so much more than just number; they are friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors. While there's still no cure, there is hope. Doctors estimate thousands of lives are saved each year through early detection, and that thousands more can be saved by spreading awareness, increasing education, and expanding screenings.

In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, I am pleased to let you know that over the next five days (through 11:59 PM MST on 10/5/12), 30% of all Weaving Today Shop proceeds go to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). The NBCF provides education and free mammograms to help people detect cancer at its earliest—and easiest to treat—stages.

To help spread the word about National Breast Cancer Awareness Month we've created a special Facebook cover (top) and Twitter header art (bottom), and we'd like to invite you to share this image as well on your own Facebook or Twitter page. Simply right click on the image below, choose "Save Image As" or "Save picture as" and save it to your computer, then upload the cover photo to your own Facebook or Twitter page.
