Fun Fiber Fact: Land of Rabbits

Spain gets its name from explorers who discovered the land in 1100 B.C. and called it i-shepham-in, or in Latin, Hispani, which means “land of rabbits.” Today, more than 180 domestic breeds can trace their heritage back to wild rabbits of the Iberian Peninsula.
