Aurora Borealis Shawl

This is one of my series of using commercial painted yarns.  I have used sock yarns that self strip, hand-painted skeins, slow change colors, anything that is interesting.  I usually use them for warp and wind the warp to get a strip or faux ikat look.  This shawl was done in lace weight painted yarn for the warp.  I love the shifting in the warp to give the watercolor look.
