Vancouver fiber artists peer Through the Looking Glass

Through the Looking Glass was the title of an exhibition open to all artists working in fiber mediums, hosted by the Vancouver Guild of Fibre Arts, Greater Vancouver Weavers' and Spinners' Guild (Canada), and fibreEssence (an artist-owned and -operated nonprofit society). The exhibit was held September 20 to Oct 2 at the Seymour Art Gallery in North Vancouver. Accepted artists displayed their drawings, sketch books, or samples to inform the public about the processes used to create the entries. Works were intended to speak to the original adventures of Alice, or to one's own adventures while looking into or stepping through the looking glass. Fiber in any of its many forms played a significant role in each work, and mixed-media works were also included.
