Spinner’s Flock (Michigan)

A special member of the Spinners’ Flock (Michigan) was in need of some clothing—a handspun, handknitted doll with needlefelted facial features and stuffed with wool. All her measurements were posted in the group’s newsletter with a list of the essential clothes and accessories she would need to become their Fall Fleece Fair Door Prize. As a project, members were encouraged to make skirts, pants, sweaters, shoes, hats, scarves, and shoulder bags for her new wardrobe. Photos and notes of her benefactors were kept to include with her along with a polymer clay drop spindle and basket of fiber for the lucky recipient.
