The thirty-first annual SOAR (Spin-Off Autumn Retreat) was held last week in St. Charles, Illinois. It was a fantastic week filled with spinning, friendships old and new, and so much laughter. Each SOAR event is unique as the event is held in a different location each year, but one constant theme is the joy spinners find in being surrounded with other folks who understand their love of the craft. Whether you attended and want to connect with those you met, or if you couldn't join us and want to see what it was all about, here are a few resources:

Spin-Off Editor Amy Clarke Moore created a page on Shutterfly to share photos.

Many pictures and post-SOAR thoughts are being shared on in the SOAR group on Ravelry.

It has also been announced that this was to be the final Spin-Off Autumn Retreat. However, plans for a new spinning event are in the works. The event this year was a great time for all of us who hold the SOAR community so dear to think about what makes this event special and to look forward with great anticipation to the future.
