New Episode for Project Spinway

Vanda took on the Flower Power challenge for an episode of Project Spinway. Spinners were to find an image to use as inspiration—Vanda chose a picture of her daughter. Photos courtesy of Raynbow.

Do you like a spinning challenge? Among guilds and online groups, handspinners often find that a group challenge can encourage us to reach out of our comfort zones and make more time for spinning each day. Looking for a challenge? Project Spinway is gearing up Episode 3 of Season 4. Past episodes have been great fun, brimming with positive energy and happy spinners. Brenda Schmidt, owner of Natchwoolie, hosts Project Spinway through her Ravelry group, Do It Natchwoolie. Add cosponsor Wooliebullie into the mix and participants are sure never to be without luscious, inspiring fibers! The new episode is underway, so visit the Natchwoolie Ravelry group to see the creativity unfold. Interested in joining the next episode? Join the group and watch for the next sign-up announcement.

My lovely friend, Vanda (Raynbow on Ravelry), has participated in several Project Spinway episodes. She enjoys using the challenges to push both her creativity and spinning skills (which are already great!).

More information can also be found on the new Project Spinway Facebook page. With a tagline like "Project SpinwayWhere Globally Acclaimed Designers compete in the most Fantastic International Spinning Competition on the Planet," who can resist?

Vanda used Ohio Valley mill ends to create her random stripe singles yarn inspired by her Flower Power image.
