Midwest Weavers Association (MWA) Conference
For a fiber-related destination this summer, the Midwest Weavers’ Association (MWA) Conference will be held at Grinnell College in Iowa June 25–27. Since 1972, the MWA has been offering these gatherings in the Midwestern states on alternate years, each event having a local flavor and hosted by volunteer groups. This summer’s theme is “In the Heartland,” and there will be a myriad of sessions on spinning, dyeing, basket weaving, knitting, weaving, felting, color blending, tapestry, card making, and construction techniques. A fashion show, members’ show, swatch swap challenge, special interest groups, preconference workshops, and Guild/Study Group exhibits offer opportunities to meet like-minded enthusiasts, learn new skills, and show off your own creations.
