Medina Spinning & Weaving Guild (Ohio) supports Susan G. Komen
Two years ago, the Medina Spinning & Weaving Guild (Ohio) held a raffle to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure (cancer research), and this year the enthusiasm expanded the theme to include the weavers. Handwoven towels were added to the handspun, handknitted tams raffled at the fashion show in May. In addition to this project, the group made favors for the Eastern Great Lakes Fiber Conference, "Fiberevival," held at the Chautauqua Institute in Western New York in October. An ongoing project is knitting newborn baby hats and booties for Wadsworth Hospital.
