Edinburgh Yarn Fest 2015

The fiber-centric social media scene was exploding with happiness last weekend during Edinburgh Yarn Fest. How can my favorite city in the world be improved? By adding even more wool, yarn, spinners, and knitters than usual for one amazing weekend.

Dedicated organizers Mica and Jo envisioned EYF 2015 as a "Yarn-Lovers' Dream Department Store for a Weekend." Based on the number of Facebook posts, Tweets, and Instagram images of happy crafters clutching their woolly purchases, the weekend was a wonderful success. This year's event had an impressive list of tutors including handspinning instructor Janet Renouf-Miller. Janet is a master spinner and experienced instructor from southern Scotland. Ange Sewell of Weft Blown could be found in the booth she shared with Once A Sheep teaching spinning to visitors.

If that wasn't enough, there was also a Podcast Lounge, pop-up photobooth, and plenty of yarn-celeb sightings such as Hazel Tindall, Clara Parkes, Ysolda Teague, Nancy Marchant, and Felicity Ford.
