Conference of Northern California Handweavers, Inc
The 160th anniversary of the California Gold Rush was celebrated May 2–4 as the Conference of Northern California Handweavers, Inc. (CNCH) held their conference with the theme “California Trail” in Sacramento. Area guild booths featured exhibits and demonstrations of textile topics to show the “trail” their crafts have taken them. The Fiber Arts Heritage Fund serves as a CNCH Scholarship to encourage guild members to attend the conference by providing funding for conference registration. The Mother Lode Weavers and Spinners Guild made a donation in memory of two guild members to this fund to recognize the enduring contributions of Katherine Freeman and Wilma Pecchenino.
