Bishop Hill Fiber Guild (Illinois) Spin-In and Book Signing

The Twenty-Ninth Annual Spin-In held by the Bishop Hill Fiber Guild (Illinois) went green to feature eco-friendly home décor in the guild projects exhibited at Black Hawk College. Their own member Suzanne Tietjen, author of The Sheep of His Hand, held a book signing. A Spin, Knit, and Whatever Circle for community fiber work and fellowship took place. The Viewer's Choice display area had four handspun and ten project categories to enter. Workshops, also led by members, included color blending on the drumcarder, microwave dyeing, wet felting, beyond beginning spinning, reclaim/refurbish/reuse, beginning wheel spinning, and wheel mechanics. Vendors from several states, lunch on site, and door prizes (offered all day long) were incentives for staying on the rural campus location.
