If your closet doesn’t contain an Aran sweater in natural tones, it should—both for its classic good looks and the chance to show off your knitting skill. This cozy turtleneck features central front and back intertwined cable panels flanked by narrow columns of cable on a seed stitch background.

Finished Size 35 (39, 42 ½ ,46 ½ , 50)” bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 39″; modeled with 2″ of positive ease.

Yarn Cascade Yarns Eco Cloud (70% undyed merino wool, 30% undyed baby alpaca; 164 yd [150 m]/3 ½  oz [100 g]): #1801 cream, 10 (10, 11, 12, 13) skeins.

Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): straight and 16″ circular (cir). Size 9 (5.5 mm): straight. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); removable m; cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 17 sts and 30 rows = 4″ in Seed st on larger needles; 36 sts of Chart B = 5 ½ ” wide.
