Interweave Knits Spring 2018: Scoot Jacket

Inspired by a fitted and feminine leather jacket, the Scoot Jacket has a clever peplum and cabled waist details that create an unexpected and flattering shape. The body of this jacket is worked in one piece to eliminate bulky seams.

Pattern Details

FINISHED SIZE 37 1⁄2 (41, 45, 50, 53 1⁄2)” bust circumference. Jacket shown measures 41″; modeled with 7″ of positive ease

YARN Jo Sharp Silkroad Ultra (85% wool, 10% silk, 5% cashmere; 60 yd [55 m]/1 3⁄4 oz [50 g]): #714 Neptune, 15 (16, 19, 21, 24) balls. Yarn distributed by Kingfisher Yarn & Fibre.

NEEDLES  Size 10 1⁄2 (6.5 mm): 32″ circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS  Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle

GAUGE 13 sts and 20 rows = 4″ in St st; 12 sts and 22 rows = 4″ in Seed st

    This looks really nice, but the pictures don’t help to appreciate the beautiful shape of this cardigan. I wish there were more photos, both here and in the magazine.
