Pattern of the Week: Spanish Moss Wrap

The geometry of trees in leaf and the sway of mossy vines inspired the Spanish Moss Wrap. This minimalist interpretation of live oak trees highlights the crisp, reedy quality of natural linen. The rhythmic movement of a leaf-like pattern evolves into simple laddering to add visual interest to the fabric. This is an uncomplicated rectangular wrap that showcases the fresh and sinuous characteristics of the fiber.

Create this wrap using a long circular needle; the piece is worked from the long edge using a decorative picot cast on. An i-cord edging finishes the outer edges resulting in a clean, understated, and versatile accessory for the spring and summer.

Put your needles to work creating the beautiful designs offered in knit.wear Spring/Summer 2018.
