Yarn: DK weight (#3 Light). Shown here: Shalimar Yarns Homage DK (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk; 255 yd [233 m]/3. Oz [100 g]), scarab (bluegreen), 5 (6, 7, 7, 8) skeins.

Needles: Size U.S. 6 (4 mm): 24″ (61 cm) circular (cir) and set of 2 double-pointed (dpn) for applied I-cord. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Stitch holders or waste yarn; tapestry needle; zipper and sewing supplies.

Gauge: 24 sts and 34 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in chevron pattern after blocking.
