North by Northwest (Cary Grant not included)

We shot one of the stories for Knitscene Accessories 2014 at a neat municipal airport in Loveland, Colorado. We set up camp in the canteen area, with walls lined with aviation rules and more cans of coffee than any of us had ever seen in one place. There was a beautiful view of the mountains and foothills, and a hangar filled with planes and plane parts at our disposal. We were all pretty giddy, the weather was sunny and warm, we had coffee, the knitwear was perfect.

I am a lover of classic movies and when Amy aptly named this story "North by Northwest" I was super excited. This Hitchcock creation is one of my favorite movies of all time. Mistaken identity. Spies. Eva Marie Saint's icy blonde hair and classically chic clothes. Cary Grant scaling the face of Mount Rushmore in loafers. If you haven't seen this film, I highly recommend you do.

In this Hitchcockian frame of mind, we had a great shoot. There are so many elegant lines in this story, timeless pieces perfect for wearing wherever your adventures may lead.
