New Season, New Sweater
Ack, how is it September already? The summer seemed to fly by, and while I’ll miss the long summer days, I’m starting to get excited about the arrival of fall. The leaves are starting to change colors, and the evenings have just a little bit of a chilly edge. I’m ready for apple picking, pumpkins, and corn mazes!
I’m sure lots of you are gearing up for fall festival season, be it Rhinebeck or your local cider jubilee. It’s such a lovely treat to have a new cozy sweater when the weather turns a little brisk. What better time than now to start working on a new sweater to celebrate the new season?
The new knit.purl Fall 2015 has loads of gorgeous sweater knitting patterns that knit up in a jiffy for that last-minute festival sweater. Love lots of color? Knit Emma Welford’s Dark Rainbow Sweater in your favorite color gradient. Prefer a more body-conscious style? Try Carol Feller’s Terra Garter Raglan for a flattering, curve-enhancing sweater. Either one will keep you warm and cozy as you sample apple pie, peep at leaves, or cheer on your favorite pumpkin chunkin’ team.
