Moccasocks

The Moccasocks by Meghan Jones are featured in Interweave Knits Holiday 2016 and can be purchased with the magazine or as an individual pattern.

Moccasocks are quintessentially cozy slipper socks. Worked in a plump worsted-weight yarn, these slipper socks feature cables and colorwork to keep your knitting fingers happy as they create squishy warmth for your toes. 

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Finished Size 7 (8, 9)” foot circumference and 8½ (9½, 10¾)” long from back of heel to tip of toe. Socks shown measure 8″.

Yarn Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino wool; 210 yd [192 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #RIO063 natural (cream; MC), 2 skeins; #RIO121 marte (red; CC), 1 skein.

Needles Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 8 (5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.

Gauge 24 sts and 32 rnds = 4″ in St st on smaller needles; 24 sts and 23 rnds = 4″ in stranded patt on larger needles.
