Make for the Holidays and Beyond with Interweave Knits Gifts 2023
As the holiday season approaches, I find myself reminiscing about the power of handmade gifts and the joy they bring to both the giver and the recipient. It’s a tradition that has woven itself into the fabric of our lives, creating cherished memories and touching moments. To think that Interweave Knits Gifts has been a small part of your holiday traditions warms my heart.

Interweave Knits Gifts 2023 Highlights
When planning this issue, I imagined you flipping through these pages and the flutter of delight you’ll feel when you see the “perfect” project for someone you care about. I thought of you going to your stash, choosing skeins in colors that the recipient will love, and casting on just as soon as you can. With that vision in mind, the Knits team and I took care to select projects we could picture making for the knit-worthy people in our lives. If you imagine that, as we review submissions, we say things such as “Oh, I’d knit that,” you’d be right.
We didn’t stop with patterns! We packed the issue with a lot of extra content, too. From an artist profile on designer Kendall Ross and a piece on a unique craft thrift store that’s helping younger knitters to an in-depth tutorial on thrumming and helpful technique sidebars on playing with gauge and felting, there isn’t a page to spare in this issue. We hope you enjoy it.

Our amazing team of designers sent us so many “I’d-knit-that” ideas that we curated this issue with more than 20 patterns. Many of the patterns include variations, giving you a whopping 34 projects you can knit and give. Since that’s a lot of knitting just for the holidays, we made sure to share these in a way that shows gift-giving lasts well beyond December. These are items that your loved ones will want to wear or use for months and years to come.
From our knitting family to yours, we wish you a season filled with creativity, joy, and the immeasurable satisfaction of giving from the heart. Thank you for being part of our Interweave Knits community, and may the 2023 issue of Gifts be a companion that accompanies you through the magical world of holiday knitting.
