Early Frost Wrap
We regret that there is an error in chart abbreviations. The chart symbols for C3/2f and C3/2b have been reversed. Please follow the charted instructions replacing the symbol for C3/2f with the directions for C3/2b, and replace the instructions for C3/2b with the directions for C3/2f.

Pine Needle Shrug, page 34
We regret that there is an error in the Pine Needle Shrug pattern as published.  The corrected rows are as follows:

Cast on 55 sts. Work in St st, inc 1 st each end of row (use kfb) every RS row for 11 rows (starting on row 3), ending with a RS row.
Row 13: K1, kfb, k1, *yo, k2tog; rep from * to last 2 sts, kfb, k1; 67 sts.

Fireside Sparkle Sweater, page 56
We regret that part of the finishing instructions were missing for the Fireside Sparkle Sweater. The finishing should read as follows:

Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves, sew side and sleeve seams.

Holiday 2012

Poinsettia Wrap
We regret that the special abbreviations were not included with the chart instructions. The special abbreviations are:

T2b (twist 2 back): Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in back, k1 tbl, then p1 from cable needle
T2f (twist 2 front): Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in front, p1, then k1 tbl from cable needle

T2l (twist 2 left): Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in front, p1, then k1 from cable needle
T2r (twist 2 right): Slip 1 st to cable needle and hold in back, k1, then p1 from cable needle

Dazzling Diamonds
We regret that there is an error in the chart.

Row 14: Purl

Row 15: The second stitch should be knit through the back loop

Draped and Dazzling Cardigan
We regret that the Draped and Dazzling Cardigan pattern was published with an error in the instructions for the front of the sweater.  The pattern should read as follows:

Neck shaping, the increases and decreases were reversed and the pattern should read:

Working one side at a time (left front) DECREASE one stitch at the beginning of every other row, and INCREASE one stitch at neck line every other row 4 times.

Additionally, the instructions for both fronts should include decreases not increases:

Paintbox Mittens, page 36
We regret that the Paintbox Mittens pattern was published with an error in the flap instructions. The pattern should read as follows:

Just under the top edge ribbing, pick up and knit 16 (18, 20, 22) sts beg just before the thum juncture, and working across the top of the mitten, cast on 16 (18, 20, 22) sts.

Next rnd: Cont in thrum pat, knit 16 (18, 20, 22) sts, work k2, p2, rib across 16 (18, 20, 22) cast-on sts. Continue working in pattern until ribbed section is 1½”. Then cont in thrum pat, knit all sts.

Coffee Cozies, page 46
We regret that the Coffee Cozies pattern was published with an error in the Plain Tree and the Beaded Tree Cozy written instructions. The patterns should read as follows:

Plain Tree Cozy

Rows 6 and 8: P7, k3, p14, k3, p7.
Row 20: P7, k3, p14, k3, p7.

Beaded Tree Cozy

Rows 4 and 6: P7, k3, p14, k3, p7.
Row 18: P7, b1, k1, b1, p14, b1, k1, b1, p7.

Please note this change affects the written pattern only, the charts are correct. Additionally, the number of beads is incorrect; 56 beads are required, 28 beads for each tree.

Spring 2012

Grecian Elegance, page 58
We regret that there is an error in the Grecian Elegance instructions for the front neck shaping on page 60. The pattern should read as follows:

Principessa Dress
We regret that there is an error in the pattern as written.  The pattern correction is as follows:

Front Armhole Shaping
With RS facing, attach yarn to sts on hold.
Row 1 (RS): Bind off 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7) sts; k69 (74, 84, 95, 96, 112), turn. Place remaining 24 (27, 27, 30, 33, 33) sts onto waste yarn; you will not use them again until Back Right Strap.
Row 2 (WS): Bind off 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7) sts; purl across.
Row 3: K1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. 2 sts decreased.
Row 4: P1, p2tog, purl to last 3 sts, ssp, p1. 2 sts decreased.
Row 5: K1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. 2 sts decreased; 60 (64, 74, 84, 84, 100) sts remain.

Work even in stockinette for 13 rows, ending with RS facing for next row.

Front Left Strap
Row 1 (RS): K22 (24, 24, 26, 28, 28), k2tog, k1, turn. Remaining 35 (37, 47, 55, 53, 69) sts will stay on hold until Front Right Strap section.
Row 2: P1, p2tog, purl across. 1 st decreased.
Row 3: Knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. 1 st decreased.

Repeat Rows 2-3 an additional 3 times. 16 (18, 18, 20, 22, 22) sts remain.

Work even in stockinette for 20 (24, 28, 32, 34, 34) rows. Cut yarn. With RS together, work Kitchener stitch across remaining sts and sts on hold from Back Left Strap.

Front Right Strap and Neckline
With RS facing, attach yarn to sts on hold from Front Left Strap section.
Row 1 (RS): Bind off 10 (10, 20, 26, 22, 38) sts, ssk, knit across.
Row 2: Purl to last 3 sts, ssp, p1. 1 st decreased.
Row 3: K1, ssk, knit across. 1 st decreased.

Repeat Rows 2-3 an additional 3 times. 16 (18, 18, 20, 22, 22) sts remain.

Work even in stockinette for 20 (24, 28, 32, 34, 34) rows. Cut yarn; place sts on stitch holder. These will be Kitchener stitched together with the sts from Right Back Strap to form the armhole.

Summer Breeze Cardi
We regret that there is an error in the pattern as written. Please work rows 1 through 10 of the pattern, and then repeat rows 3 through 10 to form the Lace Stitch Pattern.

Midsummer Scarf
We regret that there is an error in the length of stockinette in the pattern as written, which will result in a longer section of stockinette at the center of the scarf. The sample scarf pictured in the Summer 2012 issue was knit with all three sections of stockinette the same length. To create a scarf that will match the one featured in the Summer 2012 issue, the first section of stockinette (between the two broomstick lace pattern repeats) should be 8½” long. The second section of stockinette, after the second broomstick lace repeat, should be 4¼” long.

Mossy Linen Shade
We regret that there is an error in row one of the chart featured on page 29. Please disregard the K2tog symbol in stitch / box 5, this symbol is in error and the stitch should be knit and should not be decreased.

Peace, Love, and Tie-dye, page 9
We regret that there is an error in the Peace, Love, and Tie-dye yarn weight listed. Ty Dy by Knit One Crochet Too, is a worsted weight (size 4) yarn.

Picnic in the Park Vest, page 26
We regret that the Picnic in the Park Vest instructions for miter square 2 is missing the instructions for several sizes.  The instructions for miter square 2 should read as follows:

Miter 2 (see diagram)
With RS facing and A, pick up and knit 15 (18, 21) sts, pm, cast on 15 (18, 21) sts more. Work as for miter 1.

Additionally, we have revised the instructions for the vest for clarity.  Please note these instructions are not different from the published pattern, they are simply rewritten.

Vest
Right lower back, lower back, left lower back
Following diagram, complete Miter Squares 1-A through 4-A. Each miter square is created using miter square instructions 1 through 4. After all four miter squares have been completed and sewn together, work sections 5 – 8 of Log Cabin to complete each miter square section, marked as 1A – 4A on the schematic.

Upper right back
Following diagram, work miter 5-A, as for miter 1-A, then log cabin sections 5 and 6, place sts on holder from log cabin 6. On log cabin section 7, work as above for 5 rows, bind off 22 (28, 34) sts, work on 8 sts for another 5 rows, bind off.

Upper left back
Work miter 6-A as above, then work log cabin sections 5 and 6, place sts from 6 on holder. On log cabin section 7, work as above for 7 rows, bind off 22 (28, 34) sts, work on 8 sts for another 4 rows, bind off.

Top right and left back
With A, pick up and knit 72 (84, 96) sts and work in garter st for another 14 rows, bind off center 32 (36, 40) sts, place 20 (24, 28) sts from each shoulder on a holder.

Upper right front
Work 7-A same as upper right back.

Upper left front
Work 8-A same as upper left back.

Top upper right front and neck
With RS facing and A, pick up and knit 40 (44, 48) sts. Knit 1 row.

Right side neck
Bind off 4 sts every other row 5 times, work even for 7 rows, put remaining 20 (24, 28) sts on holder.

Top upper left front and neck
Work same as top upper right front and neck, reversing shaping.

Soleado Bag, page 62
We regret that there is an error in the Soleado Bag key to the Fair Isle charts. The colors for the chart should be worked in the following order:

Too Cute for Two, page 80
We regret that the number of stitches to be cast on for the three larger sizes is missing from one part of the Divide Body and Sleeves section of the pattern. The pattern should read as follows:

K30 (32, 38, 42) sts (including purl seam st), place next 36 (38, 48, 56) sleeve sts on waste yarn. Cast on 4 (8, 8, 8) sts, pm for side seam, cast on 4 (8, 8, 8) sts.

Winter 2012

Gaelic Braid
We regret that symbols were missing from rows 1 and 27 on Chart C on page 38. A corrected Chart C can be downloaded here: CHART C

Collegiate Cables
We regret that incorrect yarn information was listed in the material requirements. The yarn used is: 6 (7, 8, 9, 9) skeins Galway Chunky by Plymouth, 100% pure wool (123 yds/100g)

Siberian Scarlet Hatt and Mittens, page 8
We regret that the Siberian Scarlet Hatt and Mittens pattern was published with an error in row 7 of the hat cable pattern. This error appears in the written instructions only, the instructions for the chart are correct as published.  Row 7 should read as follows:

Row 7: *2/4RPC, p2, [k2, p2] twice; rep from * around.

Color Block Coat, page 46
We regret that the Color Block Coat pattern was originally published with an error in the Shape Bodice section. The third and fourth paragraphs of this section should read as follows:

Next row (RS): Cast on 4 (5, 6, 6, 6) sts. Do not inc in first and last st. Cont to inc 8 sts as set (before and after each marker) to end.

Next row: Cast on 4 (5, 6, 6, 6) sts, purl to end; 17 (19, 20, 20, 23) sts each front panel, 22 (24, 24, 24,  28) sts each sleeve, 34 (38, 40, 40, 46) back sts plus 4 seam sts; 116 (128, 132, 132, 152) sts.

Simply Magical Cowl, page 50
The cowl requires two (2) skeins of yarn, not one skein as originally published.

Smokey Graphite Crewneck, page 64
We regret that the Smokey Graphite Crewneck was originally published with errors in the written pattern and chart. The revised written instructions are as follows:
