Learn Something New with Our Fiber Workshops (and Try a Spinning Class for Free!)

We’ve launched a subscription service, Interweave Yarn & Fiber Workshops, for all our online education offerings. We’ve worked with expert instructors to help you better your brioche, learn lace, mend what you make, and more. Whatever your skill level, find courses that will entertain, educate, and inspire you to keep learning.

Let’s get technical!

There are a LOT of numbers in knitting. Maybe you’re hesitant to substitute yarns or wrangle with gauge. Maybe you get frustrated when you try to modify patterns to fit better, or maybe you want to start writing patterns yourself, but you need some guidance. We’ve teamed with author, instructor, and tech-editor Kate Atherley to create an entire suite of courses that demystify the more technical aspects of knitting. And if you simply want to learn how to fix knitting mistakes, she covers that, too!

Learn colorwork!

Stranded colorwork is everywhere these days. Want to dip in? Look no further than our suite of courses from Kyle Kunnecke. His Introduction to Stranded Knitting workshop grounds you in the basics, PLUS you get a nifty tutorial on Armenian knitting, or how to lock your floats. Find out why you shouldn’t be freaked by steeks, or learn to start designing your own colorful cowl patterns.

Get grafting!

Joni Coniglio, Project Editor at Interweave and the Great Graftsby herself, is an expert on all things grafting. Check out all three of her grafting courses, which include basic Kitchener stitch, ribbings, and fancy-schmancy lace patterns (Just don’t do them all in one day. Trust me.)

Not sure if you want to join? Click here to check us out and learn something new with a free spinning workshop. Maggie Casey will show you how to easy it is to use a drop spindle to create your own yarn. A spinner since the early 70s, she holds the Handweavers Guild of America Certificate of Excellence in Handspinning. Watch a preview here:
