Learn How to Write Your Own Knitting Patterns

At the beginning of my publishing career, I worked in early-childhood educational publishing. We wrote and edited activity books for teachers and parents of preschoolers. That was a fun job! I learned how to write step-by-step instructions in my time there, and I’ve used those skills in so many ways over the years.

Pattern writing, for instance, is a good example. Patterns are step-by-step instructions, right? They need to be clear, concise, and complete so they’re easy to follow. And as knitters, we know there’s nothing more frustrating than following a poorly-written pattern.

If you’re interested in learning to write your own knitting patterns, we’ve got the class for you!

You'll learn how to create charts like this color-coded cable chart and key.
