Last Chance to Knit for the Holidays!
Well, maybe it's not your absolute last chance—there are 25 days until Christmas, and a few years ago I knit a garter stitch scarf for someone on December 23rd—but we're cutting it close!
I thought you might appreciate a few ideas for last-minute gifts; there's time to knit any one of these projects!
|Do you have a special little one in your life? These two fun knits are sure to please!
I love the Fiesta Tea Set (far left)! The colors evoke the classic dinnerware perfectly, and they're surprisingly easy to knit—each piece starts with a circle and builds from there.
And the Miniature Cowichan Cardigan (near left)? Precious. I have a collection of little bears in sweaters and whenever I have little girl guests, they play with the bears for hours.I may just have to make a new sweater for one of my own little bears.
|Hats are wonderful gifts that are great for us knitters, too. I can whip up a hat in a few days knitting time, and with the beautiful patterns at left, so can you!
The Zigzag Beanie is just beautiful, and knit up in a kid mohair, it's soft and warm, too. The Zigzag is a feminine hat that'll please any gal on your list.
And now, my favorite. With its snowflake section, the Felicity Hat is a striking winter topper. The hat is made up of a Fair Isle strip and three short-row wedges—clever and fun!
This hat would work equally well for men or women—how about the Felicity and Frank Hats?
Nothing like the last minute!
