knit.wear Spring/Summer 2018: Timor Tee

Inspired by the ocean, the Timor Tee by Susanna IC from knit.wear Spring/Summer 2018 features a stunning pattern and an A-line shape, prefect for flattering many different body types. The unique ribbing and lace is reminiscent of underwater plants as they zig-zag their way up to the light. This is a top that stands on its own or works great as a layering piece—making it a versatile multi-seasonal garment.

This tunic is worked from the top down in pieces, blocked, and then seamed. The end result is a soft top with striking drape in a classic silhouette. It’s perfect for summer strolls on the beach, visiting a brewery or winery, and even lounging around the house. The yarn, Dale Garn Pure ECO Baby Wool, is a smooth 4-Ply yarn made from 100% organic wool. It’s warm and light, adding to the layering ability of this top. It also comes in many different shades like neutrals, muted pastels and retro inspired colors.

I knit the lace pattern for the Swatching with the Editor section of this issue so I can tell you from firsthand experience that this will knit up like a breeze. I had the pattern basically memorized by the end of the swatch so, coupled with the stockinette body this top will be a delight to create.
