knit.wear Fall/Winter 2018: Shifting Squares Pullover
What’s on your needles this fall? Like most knitters, you probably have quite a few things in your queue just begging to be cast on. I kinda hate to do this to you, but you’ll need to make room for one more: the Shifting Squares Pullover from knit.wear Fall/Winter 2018. This beautiful, versatile project is sure to become a wardrobe staple you’ll want to cast on for now so you can wear it as much as possible this season!
The interesting cable pattern on this pullover is very modern and very cool. The stockinette-stitch body is broken up with horizontal rows of garter stitch and strong geometric cables that look vaguely futuristic. A doubled collar adds to the sleek overall look, but the piece never feels cold or forbidding; on the contrary, the overall effect is cozy, fashionable, and approachable.
Worked from the bottom up in HiKoo SimpliCria, the Shifting Squares Pullover is perfect for the office, weekend brunch, or just lounging at home. The sand color is a lovely neutral hue that works well with other shades, but SimpliCria comes in a range of colors, so you’re sure to find the right one for your new go-to winter sweater.
