Knitted Dish Cloths for a Little Color in Your Kitchen
We have a new video class up today–all about working knitted dishcloths. Joanna Johnson walks us through the benefits of working these little kitchen wonders, and demonstrates the techniques used, such as: circular cast-ons, chevron patterns, and edgings. One of the cool things about this download is that, included with it, are 10 patterns for dishcloths. The one I think is super intriguing is a stainless steel dish scrubber. By holding a stainless steel yarn together with linen, Joanna created a fun, poofy little tool that brings some handmade charm to your daily chores.
Check out the video preview here. I think these little projects would be a fun way to expand your knitting skills, or maybe to work with a newer knitter on–perhaps someone from your knitting group or family, maybe even an adventurous young knitter. Joanna has done a lot of work teaching kids to knit and you can see her fun, colorful approach in these dishcloths. Have fun and happy knitting (and dish washing!),
