knitscene Summer 2018: Waves Tank
An easy knit for lazy summer days, the Waves Tank by Andrea Cull from knitscene Summer 2018 is a perfect tunic or swimming suit cover. Every part of this knit has intrigue, from the textured body to the lace border and the picot edge.
This tank is inspired by the countryside in France, where everything from the stone mansions to the gardens and clothes look effortlessly elegant and beautiful. But as we all know, beauty like that takes a lot of care and time. Thankfully this tank won’t max you out on patience or time.
You knit it in the round from the hem to the underarms with the upper front and back worked separately back and forth. And to finish you only need to graft for a couple inches. Louet Euroflax Sport is a linen yarn perfect for poolside lounging or exploring in the summer heat. It comes in neutrals and vibrant colors, so you’re sure to find something you love.
If you are planning on tackling your first garment, this would be a great first choice. It also makes a great break from sweater knitting, as you are mostly knitting in the round with an easily memorable pattern.
