knitscene Summer 2018: Tonquin Wrap
During transitional seasons like Spring, it seems like I’m never wearing the right clothing. If I plan for a warm day and wear a cute dress, the temperature will drop 20º, and I’ll end up freezing my tush off. On the other hand, if it looks like it’s going to be a cool day, I’ll wear a sweater; then the sun comes out and I’m a hot sweaty mess. It feels like I just can’t win! What I need is a wrap that’s warm enough to act as a blanket, but classy enough to wear in public.
The Tonquin Wrap is a worsted-weight wrap that’s perfect for wrapping yourself up on an unexpectedly chilly day. Take it camping for a little extra warmth by the fire, or use it to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea on the porch on a gray Spring morning.
The reversible cables and fun fringe add just enough glamour and sass to make it appropriate for an outdoor concert or a stroll through a museum. Because it’s reversible, you’ll always look pulled together; no matter which way you wear it, you’ll always be showing its best side!
