knitscene Fall 2018: Suzy Cardigan
Have you ever seen a garment and just thought, “Wow. I need that RIGHT NOW.” That’s me with the Suzy Cardigan from knitscene Fall 2018. As soon as I saw it in the pages of the magazine, I knew I had to have it.
One of my favorite perks of working at Interweave is getting to try on all the samples to see if they look good on me before I decide to make them. After I saw Suzy, I immediately went into the samples closet and tried it on and, friends, it is amazing. It’s like it’s made for me. It fits perfectly around my shoulders. The hem hits at just the right place on my body. The sleeves are snug but not too tight, which is exactly how I like them. And that cable. Oh, that cable! It’s so unusual and unexpected. I’ve never seen a cable running horizontally across the back of a sweater before, and I absolutely love it.
I really didn’t want to take the Suzy Cardigan off, which in my book is the sign of a great sweater! It’s definitely on my Must Make list for fall. The color is rich and lovely, and the 100% wool yarn will keep me warm and cozy on cold fall and winter days. I also like that it’s a versatile piece, so I can wear it with my favorite jeans and T-shirt on the weekend and over a dress at the office. It’s definitely going to become a wardrobe staple!
Spice up your fall wardrobe with the unique and oh-so-lovely Suzy Cardigan! I promise you’ll want to wear it every day.
