knitscene Fall 2018: Claire Sweater

Can a sweater be both subtle and dramatic at the same time? “Drama” is the word that immediately came to mind when I first saw the unexpected cables adorning the sweaters within the Fall 2018 issue of knitscene. Yet when I saw the Claire Sweater, words like “understated” and “subtle” were floating into my head. It wasn’t until I took a closer look that Claire showed her true dramatic self.

Angled stitching around the collar draws the eye toward an elegant cable detail at the front to create a pattern that’s reminiscent of a large formal necklace with a dramatic center stone. The cable detailing continues down around the cuffs and hem with lovely eyelet details. This subtle drama makes Claire a versatile fall sweater perfect for a night out at the theatre or a cozy evening at home.

Cast on in time for fall and let the Claire Sweater subtly show off your dramatic side wherever you go!
