Your knit.wear Ravelry Top Three
My favorite part of our issue online go-live schedule is when the Ravelry pages go up. Even before we have all the projects posted, our readers are leaving comments, favoriting, and adding to their queues. It is so rewarding and exciting to see such fast feedback on content we have been creating for months. I wanted you to share in that excitement, so I have gathered your Ravelry favorites from the pages of knit.wear Spring/Summer 2017.
Tribeca Tunic by Carol Feller
I love layers. Not just because I want to feel like I’m surrounded by warmth, but because layering garments can be worn in the spring, fall, or winter, depending on what you put underneath! And since there’s been a recent trend toward paring down wardrobes, having project like the Tribeca Tunic in your closet will give you a versatile garment that can be worn with a variety of other pieces. And this purple Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport Solid is so beautiful it might tempt even the most cautious purple wearer.
Amherst Pullover by Amanda Scheuzger
The Amherst Pullover is so cozy and striking that we just had to put it as the first project in the Athleisure gallery. I always find brioche eye-catching and mesmerizing, and I think it was a great choice for the colorwork around the sweater’s neckline. This sweater provides a great introduction to two-color brioche, which finishes off the sweater in a fun way. Simplinatural from HiKoo has a lovely squish to it and is a treat to knit with.
Marblehead Poncho by Lana Jois
Before this poncho swept the others in favorites on Ravelry, it circulated around the office like wildfire. Everyone wanted to try the sample on, and so many Interweavers were eager to knit it. It’s great to see you all shared our love for this cozy and luxurious swancho. This sweater is worked in the round from the top down in one piece. If you are looking for an entry-level but stunning sweater, this swoncho is a great choice.
