Join the Zuni Cardigan Knit-Along

I'm so excited to knit the Zuni Cardigan. I love everything about it. Want to join me? Here are the details:

The pattern is available in the winter 2015 issue of Interweave Knits.

Finished Size: 37 (39, 43, 47 1/2, 51 1/2, 55 1/2)" bust circumference. Cardigan shown measures 39", modeled with 2" of positive ease.

Yarn: Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted (100% wool; 220 yd 201 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): #12501 oatmeal heather (MC), 7 (7, 8, 9, 9, 10) skeins; #12503 charcoal heather (CC1) and #12182 gold spice (CC2), 1 skein each.

Needles:
Size 3 (3.25 mm): straight. Size 4 (3.5 mm): 32" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions:
Markers (m); waste yarn for marking pocket; tapestry needle.

Gauge:
23 sts and 29 rows = 4" in St st on larger needle.

The Zuni Cardigan features sparse colorwork stripes and a touch of texture thanks to rows of small bobbles. From the fold-back cuffs to the shawl collar, this cardigan feels like the sweater you grabbed from your grandpa's closet, but with a less bulky, more fitted silhouette.

Here’s the schedule:

1/12-1/26:  Get your copy of the pattern in Knits winter 2015, choose your yarn, and swatch.

1/27-3/3:  Knit back

3/4-4/1:  Knit fronts

4/2-5/4:  Knit sleeves

5/5-5/19:  Knit collar

5/20-6/3:  Finishing

I've scheduled this generously because it's a large project.

Here's how the knit-along works:

1. Get your pattern by downloading or ordering the winter 2015 issue of Interweave Knits.
2. Choose and buy your yarn (or find it in your stash), and knit your swatch.
3. Introduce yourself in the forum, and let us know what yarn you are using. To chat in the forum, just reply to this post (or any other post in the forum)!
4. Post a photo of your finished garment when you're done.

Let's get started!
