Beatrice Perron Dahlen
When Beatrice moved to Maine she found her home in more ways than one. A Navy brat through and through, she bought a house and put down roots. Discovering the inspiring and thriving fiber community of Maine she often thought about how wonderful it would be to see a collaboration between all the hand knitwear designers, yarn makers, dyers and wool-loving folk of Maine. Out of honoring the creative work each was doing, joining talents to make something extraordinary to offer up to the rest of the hand knitting community, she published the book that comes straight from the bottom of her heart; MAINE knits.
Beatrice is one of Maine’s most popular knitwear designers. In addition to self-publishing, she has published work with Pom Pom Magazine, Interweave Knits, knitscene, Berroco, Tolt Yarn & Wool, Quince & Co., Making Magazine, amirisu and more. In 2017 she published her first book, MAINE knits. Her independent pattern line, Thread & Ladle can be found on Ravelry or at her website, threadandladle.com.
