What You’ll Learn

Stripes Interrupted
Experience how magic happens when you add texture or easy lace patterns to small stripes. You’ll begin with small textural patterns that mix colors in key spots forming all over color patterns that look complex, but they’re not. Then you’ll move on to combining lace with striping forming elaborate distortions of the stripes. You’ll also learn how to use German short rows to shape the fabric above and below the distorted stripes to avoid pooching and stretching.

Punctured Cable
Adding double YO’s to cables is an unusual technique that makes lovely round openings in the center of cables, perfect for light summer Arans or just for the beauty of it. Norah’s tricks of how and when to add the double yarn overs help make the technique much easier than it may sound.
