Interweave Knits Fall 2018: Wendell Street Pullover

Looking for a sweater knitting pattern this fall that fits like a glove and exudes elegance from every stitch? Cheryl Toy’s form-fitting Wendell Street Pullover from Interweave Knits Fall 2018 is a modern and very feminine take on the traditional cabled pullover that will impress knitters, non-knitters, and most importantly, yourself!

The Harvard Square story from this New England-themed fall issue is an ode to editor Meghan Babin’s fond childhood memories of the region: crisp fall mornings, awe-inspiring foliage, and Ivy League campuses, all of which invoke a sense of treasured nostalgia no matter where you personally call home.

The Wendell Sweater will have you feeling those Ivy League vibes as you turn heads on a crisp autumn day. It’s a little bit preppy, unabashedly pretty, and the difficulty level doesn’t require you to be at the top of the class to succeed.

Gently woven cables flow from the stylish ribbed funnel neck, forming a central motif that falls at about necklace length, framed by two slightly longer cables that extend past the bust. An additional cable chain runs down each saddle shoulder and down the arms to the elbow, returning to ribbing on the forearms before entwining one last time at the wrist for a thoughtful detail.

The cables are framed by allover ribbing, creating ultra-flattering long lines down the body and arms, softened by lots of waist-shaping. Don’t let this beautiful design pass you by—start your own Wendell Street Pullover today!
