Named after the beautiful Russian ballerina Irina Baronova, this pullover is a fitted sweater with elegant cables that swoon across it in panels and garter-stitch dividers for shaping. This timeless sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armholes, then knitted flat to the square neckline and shoulders. The luscious texture is created by combining Rowan Felted with Rowan Kidsilk Haze.

Finished Size 30¼ (34, 37½, 41, 44½, 48)” bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 34″; modeled with 2″ of positive ease.

Yarn Rowan Felted Tweed (50% wool, 25% alpaca, 25% viscose; 191 yd [175 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #177 Clay (A), 5 (6, 6, 7, 7, 8) skeins. Rowan Kidsilk Haze (70% mohair, 30% silk; 230 yd [210 m]/7/8 oz [25 g]): #592 heavenly (B), 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins. Yarns distributed by Westminster Fibers.

Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 16″ and 24–40″ (depending on size you are making) circulars (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge 18 sts and 30 rnds = 4″ in garter st, using 1 strand each of A and B held tog; 26 sts of Lattice chart = 41/4″ wide, using 1 strand each of A and B held tog.
