Fibra Natura Kingston Tweed

Fiber content: 50% wool, 25% alpaca, 25% viscose
Colors: Olivine, Serpentine
Put-up: 194 yd (177 m)/1 3/4 oz (50 g)
Weight: DK

Donna Estin’s Crest Pullover is enviable in this blend of wool, alpaca, and viscose. The wool gives the yarn structure through the lace and reverse stockinette sections, while the alpaca and viscose give it softness and drape.

The Fiber Seed Sprout Sock

Fiber content: 90% washable American Merino wool, 10% nylon
Colors: Multiple shades of blue and teal
Put-up: 510 yd (465 m)/4 3/4 oz (136 g)
Weight: Fingering

We love The Fiber Seed’s incredible palette of hand-dyed yarns paired with the versatility of full-size skeins and mini skeins. Mix and match colors to create a shawl that pairs beautifully with your fall wardrobe when knitting Jennifer Miller Comstock’s Bevel Light Shawl.

Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash

Fiber content: 100% superwash wool
Colors: Feather Gray, Colonial Blue Heather, Straw
Put-up: 220 yd (201 m)/3 1/2 oz (100 g)

Ready to knit your first sweater? Fiona Munro’s Robertson Cardigan in Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash is a fantastic choice! This yarn is affordable, comes in dozens of colors, and doesn’t require special care.

Manos del Uruguay Alegria

Fiber content: 75% Merino superwash, 25% polyamide
Colors: Thistle, Cinnamon, Copper
Put-up: 445 yd (405 m)/31/2 oz (100 g)
Weight: Fingering

The generous yardage in these richly colored hanks was intended for socks, but we love to use it in shawls, too! Choose three beautiful shades, and a main color to accent them, when you make Jennifer Kent’s Stack Bond Wrap

IllÎmani Yarn Sabri

Fiber content: 85% organic cotton, 15% baby alpaca
Colors: Black, Cream
Put-up: 437 yd (400 m)/3 1/2 oz (100 g)
Weight: Fingering

This buttery-soft blend of cotton and alpaca makes a sweater perfect for late summer and early fall. We love the impact of these high-contrast colors when slipping stitches in the Mim Sweater by Debi Maige.

Hazel Knits Cadence

Fiber content: 100% superwash Merino wool
Colors: Quill, Piper
Put-up: 200 yd (183 m)/4 oz (110 g)

We love Hazel Knits’ amazing spectrum of hand-dyed yarns. For Laura Barker’s Tilted Hat, we paired two high-contrast shades. Enjoy choosing two of your favorite colors and knitting a striking hat that works up quickly.

Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted

Content: 100% wool
Colors: Spice Rustic, Clay
Put-up: 220 yd (200 m)/3 1/2 oz (100 g)

Purl Soho Good Wool

Color: Wild Heath
Put-up: 383 yd (350 m)/3 1/2 oz (100 g)
Weight: DK/light worsted

Oeko-Tex certified and available in more than 35 colors, this yarn makes a beautiful, long-wearing sweater with amazing stitch definition. It’s our choice for Vera Marcu’s spectacular Cilin Sweater.

Malabrigo Rios

Fiber content: 100% superwash Merino wool
Color: Camel
Put-up: 210 yd (192 m)/3 1/2 oz (100 g)
Weight: Worsted

Malabrigo Rios is a go-to for many knitters. It’s affordable and ultrasoft, and it comes in a wonderful range of colors. Pick up a trendy neutral or something bright and playful, and knit yourself the Barley Creek Toque by Karen Bourquin.

Juniper Moon Farm Patagonia Organic Merino

Fiber content: 100% wool
Color: Cinnamon
Put-up: 382 yd (349 m)/3 1/2 oz (100 g)
