SPRING 2010
Transverse Cardigan
Two Clarifications: Gauge is 17 sts = 4″ in garter st on larger size 10 needles for sleeve cuffs. (No change to sleeves and body: Gauge18 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in St st on smaller needle.)
Left Front: Work in St st until piece measures 5¼ (5¾, 6¾, 7½, 8½, 9¼)” from left front/back join, ending on a WS row. Make sure to measure from the front/back join and not the Left Front cast on edge.
Double V Cardigan
Row 4 of of Lace Rib should read: *K2, p1, ssk, k5, k2tog, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Clarification: Sleeves: With larger needles, waste yarn, and the invisible-provisional method (see Glossary) CO 49 (53, 53, 58, 58, 63) sts. Work 9 rows in St st, beginning and ending with a WS (purl) row. (RS) Join hem: Place sts from provisional CO on a 2nd needle and hold needles parallel with 2nd needle in back.
Aran Necklace Camisole
Note: The placement of the second left-front gusset marker on page 60 is incorrect and should be relocated from Row 43 to the first strap decrease row as follows:
Page 60, instruction for Row 43 starting at bottom of second column and continuing at top of third column: After “16 sts,” delete “mark beg of this row to indicate 2nd end of pick-up for left-front gusset.”
Page 60, third column, line above Row 1: This should read, “Dec for left strap as foll.” The reference to the right strap is incorrect.
Page 60, third column, Row 1: After “13 sts,” insert “mark beg of this row to indicate 2nd end of pick-up for left-front gusset.”

Florentine Dress (page 76)
Sleeves: With MC, CO 62 (67, 77, 82) sts. Do not join. Work Rows 1–3 of Shell Edging—53 (57, 65, 69) sts rem. Work Rows 1–13 of Slip St patt. Cut CC.
Row 14: (RS) Shape underarm: With MC, BO 5 (5, 7, 7) sts, knit across to last 5 (6, 7, 7) sts, BO rem sts—43 (46, 51, 55) sts rem. Place sts on holder.
Yoke: Block Shell edging of front, back, and sleeves as foll: Pin shell edge to flat surface making sure that shells lay flat. Spray with water until thoroughly wet, pressing sts into place. Allow to dry completely. Set up yoke: With RS of all pieces facing, place sts on needle in foll order: 43 (46, 51, 55) sts of left sleeve, 59 (62, 63, 71) sts of front, 43 (46, 51, 55) sts of right sleeve, 59 (62, 63, 71) sts of back—204 (216, 228, 252) sts total. Join MC, ready to work across back; pm for beg of rnd. Shape yoke: Work Dec Rnd 5 (4, 3, 1) (see Stitch Guide) once—192 (204, 216, 240) sts rem.
Ruth’s Tee (page 50)
Yoke Section
There is an extra “sl m” in the instructions for Rnd 4. The 6th line of the instructions on page 50 should read: k1f&b, work in rib to 1 st before, omitting the sl m at the beg of that line, since sl m is already given at the end of line 49.
Intrepid Pullover (pages 72–73)
Raglan dec rnd should read: *K2og, knit to 2 sts before m, ssk, slip marker; rep from * 3 more times—8 sts dec’d.

Pinked Socks (page 96)
Correction and clarification:
Gusset: Sole and gusset sts are worked in stripes, while zigzag patt cont on instep. With RS facing, *k1 with MC, k1 with CC; rep from * over 7 (8, 9) sts (stripe patt); with new needle (Needle 1) cont in stripe patt over next 6 (7, 8) sts, then cont in stripe patt, pick up and knit 1 st for each garter ridge along the heel flap, pick up and knit 1 st where heel and instep join—17 (17 18) sts picked up; with Needles 2 and 3, cont zigzag patt across instep (beg with St 4 (1, 4) of chart); with Needle 4, beg with CC (CC, MC), work in stripe patt while picking up sts along 2nd side of heel flap, work 7 (8, 9) sts to end at center of sole (new beg of rnd)—82 (89, 98) sts.here will be 1 more st on Needle 4 than on Needle 1; Needles 1 and 4 hold the sole sts and Needles 2 and 3 hold the instep sts.
