The handsome Heritage Cardigan is a classic colorwork menswear cardigan. A traditional Fair Isle motif is worked in a band across the chest, splitting the two-tone top and bottom. The cardigan is made from the bottom up and the sleeves are seamed into the armholes.

Finished Size 39 (43 , 47 , 51 , 55 )” chest circumference, buttoned; shown in size 39 “; modeled with 2 ” of negative ease.

Yarn Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool (45% wool, 35% silk, 20% nylon; 191 yd [175 m]/50 g): #59 hazy blue (A), 5 (6, 6, 7, 8) skeins; #8 moss (green; B), 4 (4, 5, 5, 5) skeins; #54 coffee bean brown (C), 1 skein; #36 cinnamon (gold; D), 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) skein(s); #56 Bristol red (E), 1 skein. Yarn distributed by Knitting Fever.

Needles Sizes 5 (3.75 mm) and 6 (4 mm): 16″ and 32″ circular (cir) and set of double- pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if neces- sary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapes- try needle; 10 (10, 10, 10, 11) ” buttons.

Gauge 22 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in St st on larger needle.
