2018: Homestead Wrap

This gorgeous wrap is the perfect gift for my dear mama! Although she lives in the South, she is always ALWAYS cold, so this wrap’s generous size is perfect for her—she can wrap it around herself while she’s working, then snuggle up under it while she’s sitting in her favorite chair relaxing. It’s knit in a lovely deep red, which is one of her favorite colors, and the flecks of tweed in this oh-so-soft yarn are right up her alley. It’s like this wrap was designed for her!

YARN Plymouth Yarn Homestead Tweed (90% wool, 10% donegal; 194 yd [176 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #524 burgundy tweed, 8 skeins.

NEEDLES Size 8 (5 mm): 32″ and 60″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS Markers (m); cable needle (cn); waste yarn for provisional CO; size H/8?(5 mm) crochet hook; tapestry needle.

GAUGE 17 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in cable patt.
