Designer Faye Kennington found an eagle feather on the beach one day and for several months thereafter dreamed of creating cabled feather motifs. This blanket perfectly (and dramatically) showcases the feather stitch pattern. It’s just the right size for an extra layer of warmth on bed or couch.

Yarn Weight 5

Finished Size 45″ wide and 56″ long.

Yarn Berroco Comfort Chunky (50% nylon, 50% acrylic; 150 yd [138 m]/3 ½  oz [100 g]): #5771 driftwood heather, 11 balls.

Needles Size 10 ½  (6.5 mm): 47″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers (m); cable needle; tapestry needle.

Gauge 14 sts and 18 rows = 4″ in rev St st.
