Favorite Knit Tee Patterns for Summer

Tees are great staples to add to your knitting projects this summer. These types of tops can be worn year-round with the right styling and are ideal for warmer weather and easy looks. With so many tees and tops to choose from, I narrowed down the search and selected five of our favorite knit tee patterns for summer that can get you through the year!

Honeysuckle Tee

The Honeysuckle Tee by Sue Gleave is not your ordinary top. The front of the tee has a high neck that looks beautiful worn alone or with a blouse. The hem’s detail is carried into the back where a dramatic pleat emphasizes the lace pattern on the back. Seed stitch around the arms holes and neckline make sure the front is not outshined by the stunning back.

Sea Breeze Top

The Sea Breeze Top by Estefania Espindola is the ideal layering tee for your beachy trips. This project is worked in four pieces that are worked side to side. Then, the ribbing stitches are picked up at the bottom edge and worked in the round. This tee can be layered over dresses, swimsuits, and anything you can think of to create endless looks. 

Hiking Henley

Henley tops are some of my favorites, but good ones are hard to find. The Hiking Henley tee, designed by Melissa Leapman, is the top I have been dreaming of. This tee is comfortable and cute and is made with a machine-washable yarn for easy care. The eyelet details on the edge of the piece make it stand out to other Henley tops and add a unique touch to the classic tee. 

Glass Palace Tee

The Glass Palace Tee, made by Allison Jane, proves that stripes don’t have to be basic with its striking design. The vertical stripes are knit using intarsia, creating columns and rows that join to create the unique stripe pattern. This blocky tee can easily be dressed for any occasion. 

Weddell Top

There are times that I want to wear a clothing item forever. The Weddell Top, created by Paula Pereira, is this top for me. The higher neck adds sophistication to a classic tee. The top is knit in the round using short rows, slip-stitch ribbing, and a fun zig-zag pattern.

While tees are perfect for the warmer weather, there is a reason you can still find them in stores throughout the year. These pieces are versatile and will allow you to get plenty of wear out of your projects!
