The Evergreen Mountain Pullover features striking sculptural and textural lace on the back and front, with patterning that’s easy to memorize and satisfying to knit. The body of this drop-shoulder pullover is worked from the bottom up in pieces and blocked before the neck and sleeves are worked in the round.

Pattern Details

FINISHED SIZE 31 (36 1⁄2, 42, 47 1⁄2, 53)” bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 36 1⁄2″; modeled with 2 1⁄2″ of positive ease.

YARN Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted (100% fine highland wool; 123 yd
[112 m]/1 3⁄4 oz [50 g]): #1306 wild thyme, 9 (10, 12, 13, 15) skeins.

NEEDLES  Size 7 (4.5 mm): straight, 16″ circular (cir), and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 6 (4 mm): 16″ cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS  Marker (m); removable m; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

GAUGE 21 sts and 26 rnds = 4″ in St st on larger needles; 20 sts and 27 rows = 4″ in Lace patt on larger needles, blocked.
