Editor’s Choice: knit.purl F/W 2015
When I was a new knitter, cruising around blogs and websites one of my favorite, reoccurring posts on the Knitting Daily blog was the Editor’s Choice posts, where several people in the Interweave office modeled a sweater in a current issue. Well, I’m bringing it back!
I dove into the sample room and pulled out a few of my favorite garments and accessories from the knit.purl Fall/Winter 2015 that, for one reason or another, didn’t get enough attention when the magazine was first published. So let’s take another look at a few fall knitting patterns from this issue, which deserves to be viewed with fresh eyes.
First up is the Sedona Sweater by Allyson Dykhuizen, uses baa ram ewe Dovestone DK and an unusual construction method.
Modeled here by Debbie Long:
Next up is the Big Twill Vest by Moon Eldrige, in Plymouth Yarn Galway Roving.
I love layers in fall and winter. I’m constantly pulling on and off sweaters, coats and scarves, but I’ve always find myself perfectly comfortable in a vest. It insulates the core while keeping your arms cool. Not to mention this vest is the ultimate instant gratification knit in super bulky yarn! Modeled by Louisa Demmit:
I hope you enjoyed this blast from the past. Hopefully, it will be a reoccurring theme. Until next time!
