Learn All the Colorwork at Yarn Fest 2020

The Interweave crew is anxiously ramping up for Yarn Fest 2020, and we’re so excited to share the workshop lineup with everyone. Yarn Festers have a lot to choose from this year, including workshops you may have missed in years prior, as well as brand-new offerings. Take a gander at the schedule here to find out what skills and techniques you can master at Yarn Fest this year!

One topic that will be covered extensively at Yarn Fest 2020 is colorwork knitting—mosaic knitting, intarsia, double knitting (a lot of double knitting), slip-stitch, varieties and combinations of all those, and even more! For a quick look at the colorwork knitting workshops, check out the list below. Follow the links for full course descriptions, pricing, and times.

If you already know all there is to know about colorwork, there is still something for you at Yarn Fest! If you knit, there are workshops about lace, cables, brioche, twined knitting, short-rows, blocking, reading patterns, garment shaping, stitch dictionaries, cast-ons, and finishing. If you crochet, you can learn about foundation stitches, shawl shapes, cables, tapestry crochet, colorwork, Tunisian crochet, openwork, live-loop cables, mosaic crochet, crochet stitch charts, and more. You can even learn how to make a DRAGON SCALES BRACELET.

If you either knit or crochet, you can learn the other. If you both knit and crochet, you can learn how to combine them. If you neither knit nor crochet whatsoever, there are workshops for you, too. You can learn how to make dorset buttons from instructor Harry Wells; how to dye fiber naturally from Sharon Buchele Rowland; and the multi-talented Daniela Nii will be teaching how to do shuttle-tatting, macramé, and something called SCRUMBLING. There are so many different, interesting, and weird (in the good way) workshops happening at Yarn Fest this year, you’ll definitely want to look through the menu, so you don’t miss any gems.
