You’ll look elegant all day in this classic summer cardigan with lace at the waist, set-in sleeves, and a garter-stitch collar. A lightweight cotton and alpaca yarn can go anywhere.

Yarn Weight 2

Finished Size 36¾ (43, 50, 56¾ )”, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 36¾ “, modeled with 2½ ” of positive ease.

Yarn Classic Elite Y arns Cerro (85% cotton, 15% alpaca; 150 yd [137 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]; CYCA #2): #7193 bay blue, 8 (9, 11, 13) skeins.

Needles Sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and 4 (3.5 mm): straight. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Removable markers; five 7⁄8″ buttons; tapestry needle.

Gauge 24 sts and 32 rows =4″ in St st on larger needles.

Chloe Cardigan

This seamless, lacy shell tunic is the perfect spring layer. The silky bamboo yarn has great drape and the neck-down construction allows for a try-as-you-go perfect fit. The high ribbed waistband and gently flaring skirt make a great silhouette. Pattern includes instructions for plus size. Intermediate skills are recommended.

Yarn: Naturally Caron Spa (75% microdenier acrylic, 25% rayon from bamboo; 251 yd [230 m]/3 oz [85 g]): #0008 misty taupe, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins.

Hook: Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Two ½” plastic bone rings or two ¾” diameter buttons; yarn needle; st markers (m) or scrap yarn for m.

Gauge:16 sts = 4″ in fsc; 2 reps = 3″ and 8 rows = 3¼” in sh st patt; 18 sts and 12 rows = 4″ in ribbing. Note: Lace fabric will relax in all directions to give finished blocked measurements of garment; length will grow to 8 rows = 3½” or more.
